what was their explanation for not wanting the speed bumps? Is it a cost issue? Must there be some sort of traffic study first? I think we'd all agree that lower speed limits and a hope of greater enforcement won't work. But I would have thought that putting in a few bumps on the streets at the entries and exits of the the village (Rectortown, Crenshaw, Atoka and Maidstone) isn't a big ask, all of our neighbors would probably want it (or at least not object), and is consistent with what already exists in Upperville. Does anyone reading this have an interest and the time to speak with someone at VDOT (again) to find out their procedures for taking such a decision?
